SPC019023: Ensure you are calling List.Update() before ClientContext.ExecuteQuery() when modifying a List object.

When modifying a List object, ensure you are calling List.Update() before ClientContext.ExecuteQuery() in order to persist the changes to the object.

Good Practice
    using (var context = new ClientContext("http://yoursite"))
    {
        List list = context.Web.Lists.GetByTitle("Announcements");
        list.Description = "This is my new announcement list";
        list.Update();
        context.ExecuteQuery();
    }
