What Are The Default Roles And Permissions

Rencore Governance comes with four default roles, each of which permits different functions within the tool. These are:

Owner

The owner manages the entire workspace within Rencore Governance and has the highest level of permission. This role is automatically assigned to the user who sets up Rencore Governance. For more details on permissions for the owner, please view the article Technical Documentation: Owner.

Info: There is a limit of 3 owners per workspace in Rencore Governance. If permissions are required that an Owner has more than an Admin, then a Custom Role would need to be created.

Admin

This role is similar to that of the Owner, where the user can administer the workspace and add new users. However, this role cannot delete workspaces nor change owners; as such, this is the second-highest role available. For more details on permissions for the Admin, please view the article Technical Documentation: Admin.

Contributor

A Contributor can create/modify dashboards, tiles, checks, and automation. This role does not have permission to edit the workspace or add users. For more details on permissions for the Contributor, please view the article Technical Documentation: Contributor.

Reader

A Reader can only read the information present in Rencore Governance. This role has the lowest level of permission available. For more details on permissions for the Reader, please view the article Technical Documentation: Reader.
