FAQ
Rencore Teams App - FAQ
The Rencore Teams App must be deployed and enabled by your organization's IT admin. If you can't find it in your Teams sidebar or the app catalog, contact your IT team to request access.
General
I can’t find the Rencore Teams App in Microsoft Teams. How do I get access?
The Rencore Teams App must be deployed and enabled by your organization’s IT admin. If you can’t find it in your Teams sidebar or the app catalog, contact your IT team to request access.
Why are some features or navigation items missing?
Your admin controls which features are enabled for your organization. If you don’t see a specific feature (like Workspaces or Reviews), it either hasn’t been enabled or hasn’t been rolled out to your organization yet.
Does the Rencore Teams App work on mobile?
The Rencore Teams App is currently optimized for the desktop and web versions of Microsoft Teams. Mobile support may be limited.
Workspaces
Why don’t I see all my workspaces?
The Workspaces page shows workspaces where you are an owner or member. If you’re looking for a workspace you were recently added to, it may take a short time for changes to sync. Also check that the correct service tab is selected - workspaces are grouped by service type (Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage, Groups).
Why is a service tab missing?
Your admin configures which Microsoft 365 services are visible in the Teams App. If a tab for a specific service is missing, that service hasn’t been enabled for the Teams App.
What does the external access information in workspace details show me?
The Site Access and File Access sections show you exactly who has access to your workspace content and how. This includes external users (people outside your organization), anonymous sharing links, and organization-wide sharing. Use the filter to focus on the access types that matter most to you.
Requests
What happens after I submit a request?
Depending on your organization’s setup, the workspace is either created immediately or sent to an approver for review. You can track the status of your request on the History tab of the Requests page, or in the Ongoing Requests section on your Home page.
I can’t find a template for what I need. What should I do?
Templates are created and managed by your IT admin. If none of the available templates fit your needs, contact your IT team to request a new template or ask for guidance on which existing template to use.
Can I edit or cancel a request after submitting it?
Once submitted, requests follow your organization’s governance workflow. Contact your IT admin if you need to modify or cancel a submitted request.
Approvals
Can I change my decision after approving or declining?
No, once you submit an approval or decline decision, it cannot be changed through the Teams App. If you need to reverse a decision, contact your IT admin.
What happens if I don’t act on an approval before the due date?
If the due date passes without a decision, the approval expires. The requester and your admin are notified. Check with your admin about your organization’s policy for expired approvals.
I see “Other Approvers” on an approval card. Do all approvers need to act?
This depends on how your admin configured the approval workflow. In some cases, a single approval is sufficient. In others, all listed approvers need to act. The approval details modal shows whether other approvers have already made their decision.
Reviews
Why did I receive a review assignment?
You received a review because you are an owner of a workspace that’s part of a scheduled access review. Your organization uses reviews to regularly verify that the right people have access to the right workspaces.
What happens if I don’t complete a review before the due date?
The review expires and is moved to your History tab with an Expired status. Depending on your organization’s configuration, expired reviews may trigger follow-up actions or notifications to your admin.
Can I reject a review assignment?
Yes. On the review start page, click Reject Review and provide a reason. You’ll be removed as a reviewer for that workspace. If other reviewers are assigned, they can still complete the review.
Another reviewer is already working on the same review. Should I wait?
You don’t need to wait. Multiple reviewers can start a review independently. However, the first reviewer to complete the review submits the final result. If someone else completes it before you, the review is removed from your Active tab.
What do the different actions on the summary page mean?
When completing a review, you may have the option to select additional actions beyond the standard “Complete”:
- Complete (standard) - Submit your changes without any additional workspace action.
- Archive / Delete / other custom actions - Trigger an automation configured by your admin, in addition to applying your review changes.
The available actions depend on your organization’s configuration. If you’re unsure what an action does, check with your IT admin before selecting it.
I removed someone during a review but they still have access. Why?
Review changes are applied when you complete the review by clicking Complete on the summary page. If you’re still in the middle of the review process, changes are queued but not yet applied. Navigate to the Summary step and complete the review to apply all your changes.
Can I see what other reviewers changed?
After a review is completed, click the entry in your History tab to see a summary of all changes that were made, including which people or permissions were added or removed.
