Note: Archiving a team has no relation to the lock state of the related SharePoint Site Collection.

Why does Rencore Governance not show a SharePoint Site Collection as locked when archiving a Team?

The lock state can only be changed via a PowerShell script (performed by you) or via an Automation Action in Rencore Governance to set the SharePoint Site Collection lock state to “Read Only”. This means no matter how a team is archived (whether by an automation in Rencore Governance, MS Admin Portal, or directly in the Teams client), the lock status of an associated SP Site Collection is not changed.
