Are there any limitations to scans in Rencore Governance?

Yes. Rencore Governance skips SharePoint libraries that only hold system content, such as hidden lists, app lists, catalogs and site assets. Pictures, site pages and items outside document libraries are not counted as files.

In detail, Rencore Governance does not scan SharePoint libraries where any of these SharePoint API properties is true:

• Hidden

• IsApplicationList

• IsCatalog

• IsSiteAssetLibrary

• IsSystemList

• Exclusions when doing the file count:

  • Files with the content type “Picture” (0x01010200*).
  • Files with content types not inherited from the “Document” type (0x010100*).
  • Site Pages.
  • Files from non-document libraries or lists.
