Frequently asked questions
Can Rencore Governance govern ChatGPT Enterprise?
Yes, in preview. Rencore Governance inventories your ChatGPT workspace and checks it with policies for security, external access, costs, stale objects and objects whose owner is inactive. Automations remove shared users from custom GPTs and projects, unpublish agents, disable service accounts, remove workspace users and delete objects.
How does Rencore Governance track ChatGPT costs?
Policies flag idle seats, Codex seats with no Codex usage, groups without a default spend limit, users with no spend cap and users over 80% of their spend cap. Reports show ChatGPT spend per week, by group and by Entra ID department, and agent spend this month.
Does Rencore Governance read ChatGPT conversations?
No. It lists conversations as objects: who, when, how many messages, which models, and which custom GPT or project. It never reads the content. Recordings are listed by duration and date only, and their transcripts are never read.
How does Rencore Governance connect to ChatGPT Enterprise?
It reads the workspace through the ChatGPT Compliance API, the Codex analytics API and the workspace log streams. The ChatGPT permissions it needs are listed under Permissions and consent.
What does Rencore Governance cover for ChatGPT Enterprise?
33 object types, 30 policies, 18 automations and 9 built-in actions.
