Frequently asked questions
Which role do I need to change Rencore Governance settings?
Most settings need the Owner or Admin role. Some guides name a specific permission, for example Edit Workspace for appearance changes, Manage consent for consent, and Manage roles for custom roles, which only the Owner role has.
How do I connect my Microsoft 365 tenant to a Workspace?
Sign in to your tenant with an admin account, connect the tenant to the Workspace and give consent. Once consent is given, the first scan can start. The guide Connect a tenant to a Workspace has the 6 steps.
How do I decide what a user can do and which objects they can see?
Assign the user a role and a team. The role decides what the user can do, and the team decides which objects the user can see. You need the Manage users permission, which the Admin and Owner roles have.
Where can I see failed scan jobs for an Environment?
Open the scan job history of the Environment. It shows every scan job, including failed ones. Your role needs the View job history permission.
Can I choose which Workspace opens when I sign in?
Yes. You can select a default Workspace in your profile settings, and any role can do this. You can also set the date, time and number format you see in Rencore Governance.
