Steps

Require assignment for Rencore Governance

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center.

  2. Go to Identity > Applications > Enterprise applications > All applications.

  3. In the search, enter Rencore Governance (Microsoft Account) and press Enter.

  4. Click the Rencore Governance (Microsoft Account) application.

  5. Click Properties.

  6. Set Assignment required? to Yes.

Assign users and groups to Rencore Governance

With “Assignment required” turned on, users and other apps or services must first be assigned this application before they can access it.

  1. In the application, click Users and Groups.

  2. Click +Add user/group.

  3. Click None Selected. A list of users and security groups appears, with a search at the top.

  4. Select the users and groups that get access to Rencore Governance.

  5. Click Select at the bottom.

Rencore Nova

Rencore Nova is the former name of the Rencore Teams App. The old Rencore Nova experience is deprecated and will be shut down on 31 December 2026. Use this section only while your users still open Rencore Nova.

This restricts which Azure users can access Rencore Nova, both the Teams application and Web access. The authentication needs direct assignment from the Entra ID app.

  1. Follow Require assignment for Rencore Governance, but search for Rencore Nova instead of Rencore Governance. The steps are the same.
  2. Follow Assign users and groups to Rencore Governance for the Rencore Nova application.
