Microsoft Teams

Also known as: Teams

Microsoft Teams is the Microsoft 365 app for chat, meetings and team collaboration. Rencore Governance covers it with the Teams connector, part of the Digital Workplace module.

Connector: Teams (generally available). Rencore Governance covers 10 object types, 22 policies, 9 automations and 11 built-in actions for Teams.

The connector inventories teams, channels, tabs, installed apps, shared channel external members and usage data. Policies flag teams without owners, inactive teams, public teams and teams with external users, and automations can archive unused teams or ask for approval first.

Each team has a related Microsoft 365 group and SharePoint site collection, which the Microsoft 365 and SharePoint connectors cover.

For example, one policy flags teams that reach the 200 channel limit, and another flags shared channels with external access.
