Property

Also known as: inventory property, object property, built-in property

A property is one field of an inventory object, such as the URL of a site or the visibility of a Team. Reports, segments and policies filter and check objects by their properties.

Each object type has its own properties, and the inventory reference lists them for every connector. Custom Metadata adds properties of your own, such as a cost center.

You can switch off a single property or change how often scans refresh it, so scans spend their time on the data you use.

For example, under Configure objects you can set a property to Initial. The first scan then collects its value once, and later scans do not refresh it.

Open an object in the inventory to see its values on the Properties tab. The Related Objects tab next to it shows its relations.
