Connector
Also known as: service connector
A connector is the part of Rencore Governance that reads one service, such as Teams or SharePoint, into the inventory. Each connector has its own object types, policies, reports, automations, actions and consent.
Other connectors cover services such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio and ChatGPT Enterprise. You choose the connectors to scan when you connect a tenant, and the Inventory, Policies and Reports pages group their tiles by connector.
Connectors follow the modules of Rencore Governance. Digital Workplace covers Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Viva Engage, Planner and Entra ID. Apps, Automation & BI covers Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI. AI & Agents covers Copilot, Copilot Studio, SharePoint Agents, Azure, Microsoft Foundry (Preview), Claude Enterprise (Preview) and ChatGPT Enterprise (Preview).
For example, the Teams connector inventories teams, channels, tabs and apps. Its policies flag teams without owners or with external users, and its automations can archive unused teams.
Each connector has a page under Connectors that lists what it scans, the policies and automations it ships and the permissions it needs. Some screens, such as consent and the inventory tiles, call connectors services.
