Licensed user

A licensed user is a user of the connected tenant that counts toward your Rencore Governance Subscription. A user counts when the account is enabled, not external, and has a Microsoft license assigned.

All three conditions must be met, and a free license counts as a Microsoft license. Internal guests with a license count. External users and disabled accounts do not.

The count comes from your tenant, not from how many people sign in to Rencore Governance. An Environment notification can tell you when licensed users exceed 95% of the user accounts in your Subscription.

For example, an enabled internal account with only a free license is counted, while a guest invited from a partner organization is not.

To see the number, select the Environment, click Settings, then Environment Settings and Subscription. The number of licensed users is at the bottom. To count outside Rencore Governance, run the Get-RencoreLicensedUsers PowerShell script described in the FAQ.
