Subscription
Also known as: Rencore Governance Subscription, Rencore Subscription, Azure Marketplace Subscription
Your Subscription is your purchase of Rencore Governance. It is connected to one Workspace and its Environment, and it sets your Plan and the number of users you can govern.
You buy a Subscription directly from Rencore or through the Azure Marketplace. Each Workspace, with its Environment, needs its own Subscription.
The Subscription counts the licensed users of your tenant, not the people who sign in to Rencore Governance. An Environment notification tells you when licensed users reach 95% of the subscribed user limit.
For example, if you subscribe in the Azure Marketplace after a trial, you assign the Subscription to the Workspace you used for the trial.
To see the number of licensed users, select the Environment, click Settings, then Environment Settings and Subscription. Deleting a Workspace cancels its Subscription immediately.
Three kinds of subscription
These docs use the word for three things. Your Rencore Governance Subscription is the one described here. An Azure subscription is the Azure billing container that a Marketplace purchase is billed to, and Rencore cannot change it for you. A Microsoft 365 subscription is a license plan in your tenant, which the Microsoft 365 connector scans.
