A shared channel is a Microsoft Teams channel that people from outside the team, and from other organizations, can join without joining the team.

The Teams connector of Rencore Governance lists the external members of shared channels. Policies flag shared channels with external access and shared channels without owners, and other policies count private channels and teams near the 200 channel limit.

Shared Channel External Member is an object type of its own in the Teams inventory, so you can filter and report on external members directly.
