Review
Also known as: review schedule, review cycle, object review, reviewer, Review Builder
A Review is a recurring or one-off check in which workspace owners confirm who has access to their Microsoft 365 workspaces, directly in the Rencore Teams App.
Owners remove people who no longer need access and confirm that sharing is appropriate. An admin sets up a review schedule. Each run of the schedule is a cycle, and each workspace in a cycle gets an object review.
Reviews put the people who know a workspace in charge of confirming it. Owners decide on their own members and sharing, instead of IT checking every workspace.
For example, a quarterly Review asks every Team owner to confirm the owners and members of their Team. If an owner does not respond before the due date, an automation can run on the expired review.
Click Review on the Nav Panel to see your reviews or add one with Add Review.
How a review runs
A schedule starts manually or on a recurring date. Reviewers are notified, walk through the configured steps, such as owners, members, site access and file access, and submit. Automations can run when all reviewers reject a review, when a review expires, or when a reviewer picks a custom action at the end. Reviews are part of the Premium and Enterprise Plans.
Review and access review
Access Review is the older feature that Reviews replaces. It produces access reports that content owners review. Access is deprecated and will be shut down on 31 December 2026. Until then the two run side by side but are separate: reviews, data and settings are not shared between them. Migrate your access review processes to Reviews before the shutdown.
