Admin center

Also known as: Teams admin center, Microsoft Entra admin center, Entra admin center, Microsoft 365 admin center, Power Platform admin center

An admin center is the web portal where administrators manage one Microsoft service, such as the Microsoft 365 admin center, the Teams admin center or the Microsoft Entra admin center.

Several Rencore Governance setup steps happen in a Microsoft admin center, not in Rencore Governance itself. Each admin center needs an account with the matching admin role.

Rencore Governance cannot change these settings for you. The docs name the admin center and the path for each step, so you can hand the step to the right administrator.

For example, to revoke the permissions you gave Rencore Governance, you open the Rencore Governance application under Enterprise Applications in the Microsoft Entra admin center and revoke them there.

Which admin center for which step

  • Teams admin center: upload and update the Rencore Teams App. This needs a Teams Administrator.
  • Microsoft Entra admin center: create the Entra ID apps for Power BI, Copilot Studio and Azure, approve admin consent requests, restrict who can sign in to Rencore Governance, and revoke permissions.
  • Microsoft 365 admin center: turn off the setting that hides user names in Microsoft 365 usage reports.
  • Power Platform admin center: set up a Dataverse Environment for Copilot Studio by hand when Rencore Governance cannot connect to it.
