Custom role

A custom role is a role you build yourself in Rencore Governance when no built-in role fits. Custom roles are only available on the Enterprise Plan.

You give it a name and a description and pick exactly the user permissions it grants, from any product area. You create it under Settings, Users & Roles, Roles, and then assign it to users like a built-in role.

Each user has one role and one team. The role decides what they can do; the team decides which inventory objects they can see.
