Admin consent workflow
The admin consent workflow lets users who cannot consent to an app request it. Microsoft Entra ID sends the request to designated reviewers, who approve or deny it.
When the workflow is turned on in your tenant, only administrators can give access to apps. Users who sign in to Rencore Governance for the first time can then see a consent prompt instead of the app.
A global administrator solves this by signing in once and consenting on behalf of the organization. After that, users can sign in to Rencore Governance.
For example, the Power Platform consent takes three parts with the workflow turned on. You request admin consent in Rencore Governance, a reviewer approves Rencore Governance for Power Platform under Admin consent requests in Microsoft Entra ID, and the Power Platform Administrator then completes the consent.
To request consent, your Rencore Governance role needs the Manage consent permission. The Admin and Owner roles have it.
