Context change
Also known as: Context Change step
A context change is an automation step that switches the objects the next actions run on. For example, it moves from a team to all of its channels or to its owners.
Without a context change, every action in an automation runs on the object that triggered it. After a context change, the actions that follow run once for each related object, and their placeholders point at that object.
This lets one automation act on many related objects without static IDs. The objects are resolved when the automation runs, so new channels or owners are included without editing the automation.
For example, an automation archives an inactive Team, then a context change from Team to Teams Owners sends an email to each owner, using placeholders such as {{User.UserEmail}}.
You add the step in the Actions section of an automation with ”+” and pick Context Change. Put it before the action that should run on the related objects.
