An AI agent is an assistant that answers questions or carries out tasks for users, often with access to company data. Rencore Governance inventories agents and flags risky ones with policies.

Rencore Governance inventories Copilot Studio agents, SharePoint agents and, in preview, Microsoft Foundry agents and ChatGPT Enterprise agents. Policies flag risky agents, such as agents without an owner, and automations can quarantine, reassign or delete them.

Agents are covered by the AI & Agents module. Each agent is an inventory object with its owner and the knowledge it uses, so policies, reports and automations work on agents as they do on Teams or sites.

For example, Copilot Studio policies flag unauthenticated public agents, agents that reference a confidential site and agents without an owner. An automation can then quarantine the agent or reassign it to a new owner.
