Microsoft Azure is the Microsoft cloud platform for virtual machines, web apps and other cloud resources. Rencore Governance covers it with the Azure connector, part of the AI & Agents module.

Connector: Azure (generally available). Rencore Governance covers 5 object types and 1 policy for Azure.

The connector inventories subscriptions, resource groups, virtual machines, web apps and Azure Advisor recommendations. One policy flags resource groups that hold too many services. Rencore Governance ships no automations or actions for Azure.

Azure works differently from most connectors: you first create an Entra ID application in the tenant you want to scan, then give consent with that application. The same Azure permissions also cover Microsoft Foundry and Copilot Studio.
