Teams app manifest
Also known as: app manifest, manifest file, Teams app package
A Teams app manifest is the file in a Teams app package that describes the app, its icons and its permissions. Admins upload the package to install a custom app.
You install and update the Rencore Teams App with a manifest. Rencore Governance builds the app package for your Environment, and you upload it in the Teams admin center.
The package carries the name and image settings you last saved for the app. If you rebrand the app, you download a new manifest so that Teams shows the new name and image.
For example, when a new version of the Rencore Teams App is released, you download the manifest again, open the app in the Teams admin center, click Upload file and select the zip file.
To get it, go to Settings > Teams App Settings > Setup and click Download manifest. Uploading it needs a Teams administrator account for your tenant.
