Nav Panel

Also known as: navigation panel, navigation bar

The Nav Panel is the navigation bar on the left of every page in a Rencore Governance Environment. It opens Home, Search, Inventory, Dashboards, Reports, Policies, Automation, Review and Provisioning.

The Nav Panel shows only the areas your role can open and your Subscription includes. Your user menu, the Workspace & Environment Selector and Settings sit at the bottom of the panel.

Most guides in these docs start on the Nav Panel, so it is the first place to look when a step names an area such as Policies or Inventory. If an entry is missing, your role or your Plan does not include that area.

For example, to see your policies you click Policies on the Nav Panel, and to switch to another Environment you use the Workspace & Environment Selector at the bottom.

Search, directly below Home, finds inventories, reports, policies, automations, reviews and provisioning templates by title or description. Collapse shrinks the Nav Panel to icons, and clicking it again expands it.
