Sharing link

A sharing link is a link in SharePoint or OneDrive that grants access to a file or folder, sometimes to people outside your organization.

Rencore Governance scans file sharing with the SharePoint and OneDrive connectors, so policies can flag files shared with external users, and actions can remove a sharing link or the sharing of a document.

Links grant access directly on a file, so they are easy to lose track of. Reviews in the Rencore Teams App include file access, so owners confirm whether sharing is still appropriate.

For example, a OneDrive policy flags files shared with external users, and an automation can remind the owner about each externally shared file.
