Flow

Also known as: cloud flow, Power Automate flow, flow run

A flow is a Power Automate workflow, made of a trigger and actions, that runs a task automatically across apps and services.

The Power Automate connector of Rencore Governance scans every flow in your tenant, together with its runs, triggers, actions and connections.

A flow runs on its own once it is built. A flow without an owner, or one that keeps failing, is easy to miss until it breaks a process.

For example, policies flag flows without owners, unused flows, stopped flows, flows with errors and flows that require a premium license. The automation template Send one email per Flow owner asks each owner to check their flows.

Flows are on the Power Automate tile under Inventory. A Rencore Governance automation can also start a flow of your own through a webhook.

Limits

A flow cannot be stopped, deleted or quarantined from Rencore Governance. To read a flow stored in a Dataverse environment, Microsoft must be able to add the account used for the Power Platform consent to that environment as a user.
