Data center
Also known as: data residency, datacenter, data location
The data center is the Microsoft Azure region where Rencore Governance stores all data of a Workspace. You choose it when you create the Workspace, and all customer data stays there.
The active regions are Germany West Central (Frankfurt), Central US (Iowa), Australia East (New South Wales) and Switzerland North (Zurich). West Europe (Amsterdam) is a legacy region that keeps its existing Workspaces.
All data of a Workspace sits in the same data center and storage container and cannot be split. If your organization operates mainly in the European Union, choose Germany West Central to keep your Workspace data in the EU.
For example, an organization that keeps its data in Switzerland chooses Switzerland North when it creates its Workspace.
The data center of a Workspace is shown under Settings, Workspace Settings, General Settings. Some optional services, such as in-app feedback and the default email delivery, are run by sub-processors outside your region, and many of them can be turned off per Workspace.
