Provisioning request

Also known as: workspace request

A provisioning request is a request to create a new Microsoft 365 workspace, such as a Team, from a provisioning template. Users submit it in Rencore Governance or the Rencore Teams App.

The Rencore Teams App was formerly called Rencore Nova. If the template requires approval, the request goes to its approvers first, and Rencore Governance creates the workspace once they approve it.

Provisioning requests give users a controlled way to get a new workspace. They fill in a form instead of creating Teams and sites themselves.

For example, a user requests a project Team from the Project template, enters the cost center on the form, and the Team is created after the template’s approver approves it.

Approving a request

Approvers find pending requests on the Approvals page of the Rencore Teams App. They approve, or decline with a reason. Depending on the template, the workspace is created after one approval or waits for the other approvers. Requesters follow their requests under My Requests.
